JOB DESCRIPTION

Nestled in the heart of Mosman we pride ourselves on being an epicentre for the Mosman Community by employing locally, supporting local charities and community Sporting Clubs.

The Fernery, on our rooftop is an oasis of greenery with views to the city skyline. It is more than your average rooftop comprising of a dedicated Gin Lounge, Urban Garden, and multiple dining areas and function spaces.

This Duty Manager role is unique with a rotating roster that consist of Sports Bar Manager and Fernery Manager shift’s and thus allows you the opportunity to learn and develop within the organisation.

The role would be ideal for an experienced Duty Manager that prefers a varied environment or a hospitality supervisor looking to progress to a management role.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

The responsibilities of the position include:

· The effective and efficient day to day operations of the Sports Bar and The Fernery

· Providing amazing customer service and mentoring a culture of going the extra mile

· Maintaining a clean and tidy venue

· Overall compliance and the managing the safety and security of the venue

· Report writing for both shift related and legislative related items

· Supervision of all service delivery staff to ensure high customer service standards are maintained

· Ensuring employees undertake work in accordance with work health and safety principles

· Opening and closing of premises and associated security

· Cash reconciliation and management

· Dealing with customer issues

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

· Previous management experience in Club, Hotel or related hospitality industries would be advantageous

· Positive attitude and professional manner

· Understanding of Club industry regulatory compliance and governing legislation

· A work ethic based on integrity

· Sound level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

· Flexibility to work a rotating roster including open and close shifts

· Strong time management skills

· Have a very 'hands-on' management style and lead by example.

· RSA/RCG

· Current First Aid certificate or willing to get one.
